Outside, Akaslompolo is a tranquil area with clearly marked walking trails and intimate villages to explore. In winter, Äkäslompolo offers great possibilities for downhill and cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. In summertime, hiking and fishing are the main attractions. Äkäslompolo is a small, typical Lappish village that livens up during the season, offering a range of restaurants, bars, and live entertainment.
