Biarritz is the most famous seaside resort on the Basque coast and offers much to see and do: tour the town, visit museums, see its famous lighthouse and explore the Basque region. Play golf on one of the courses located all around the resort, enjoy surfing, and in the evenings, discover the local cuisine in one of the many restaurants in town. Running along the south-west of France's Atlantic coast, the Aquitaine region benefits from a pleasant climate all year round, and offers a rich and diverse landscape for visitors to explore, from the wide, sandy beaches along the coast, to the vineyards of the Medoc to the pine forests of the Landes, and culminating in the peaks of the French Pyrenees by the Spanish border.
