The Sundance Resort Izukogen is a great place to get in some great rest and relaxation with its traditionally styled Japanese architecture. From the resort’s hot springs to its spacious garden, there are plenty of places to unwind. The onsite restaurant serves traditional Japanese fare made with plenty of local ingredients. The Izu peninsula is rich in nature and known as a popular vacation destination from the Tokyo area. Although “Kogen” means highland, the Izu peninsula is famous for its beaches and marine activities. Additionally, due to its volcanic landscape, there a number of hot spring towns nearby such as Ito, Atami, and Shuzenji. In the spring, there is a cherry blossom festival and azalea festival located nearby and the summer is great for fireworks and other water sports.
